Diana Smithson is a portrait artist who resides in Rome, Georgia. Her portraits are executed in oil, pastel, color pencil and/or graphite pencil. She is known and awarded for her attention to detail. Diana has studied with Gary Greene, author of Creating Textures with Colored Pencils; internationally known Danni Dawson; and acclaimed artist, John de la Vega, She attended the Art Institute of Los Angles, University of Arizona and has participated in numerous workshops through out the years. Her portraits are exhibited in museums, colleges, galleries and homes across the United States and Europe.
