Through the years Ann Yarbrough has developed a deep love for creating art. Her inspiration to paint began when she received a set of oil paints from her husband in 1982 and later a set of colored pencils. She has received private lessons from Peg Whipple, but is primarily a self-taught artist. Ann's accomplishments are many. She has won 210 awards for her artwork which includes having work selected for the Colored Pencil Society of America International Show for 2004 and 2005. Other accomplishments include: President of the Art Lovers League of Cedar Valley and membership in the CPSA. She also conducts workshops in which she teaches creating with colored pencils. Ann resides in Cedartown, Georgia. She recently received "Signature Member" status into Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA) and International Award of Excellence 2006. She won First Place and an Award for Artistic Excellence for the First Annual Holiday Design contest for the Trail of Painted Ponies 2007.
